HENG SHUN Black Rice Vinegar, also known as Chinkiang Vinegar, is a nobleman of Chinese cuisine. This vinegar is traditionally made from glutinous rice and wheat bran and is fermented for a long time. The result is a unique, complex flavor: it is less tart than regular vinegar, but has a deep, malty, smoky and slightly sweet nuance.

Black rice vinegar is an essential source of umami, perfect for:

  • Dipping sauces: Especially with dumplings, wontons and spring rolls.
  • Wok dishes and stews: Gives a dark color and rich flavor.
  • Cold dishes: A traditional condiment in Chinese cold salads.
  • Acidity: Mild acidity 5.5%.
